Review procedure

Description of the review procedure
The Editorial Team conducts initial verification of articles submitted to the journal. Then, the article is passed on to the thematic editor, who appoints two reviewers for each article and sends the proposals to the Editorial Team.

In accordance with the guidelines regarding the review procedure outlined in the Communication of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of May 29, 2013, regarding the criteria and mode of evaluation of scientific journals, at least two independent reviewers from outside the scientific unit affiliated with the author of the publication are appointed to assess each publication. The author or authors of the publication and the reviewers do not know each other's identities (double-blind review process).

The reviewers receive an anonymous copy of the article from the editorial office, along with the journal's review form available on the website. According to the current legal regulations, the editorial office publishes a list of reviewers once a year on its website. However, the editorial office does not disclose the names of reviewers in the context of specific articles.

The review form contains prepared questions, based on which reviewers assign the article an appropriate substantive rating on a scale of 1 to 5 points and a formal rating on a scale of 1 to 4 points. Additionally, this form includes a section for description and summary, where reviewers must unequivocally express their recommendation regarding the publication or rejection of the article. A necessary condition for the publication of the article is to obtain two positive reviews. The review is prepared within 30 days, starting from the day the reviewer agrees to write it.

Here is the translation into English:

After receiving positive recommendations from two reviewers, the publication manuscript is accepted and undergoes language editing. Following editorial preparation and corrections carried out by the language editor collaborating with the Editorial Board, the text is sent to the author for approval.
In the case of receiving one positive review or the need to send the manuscript to a third reviewer, the decision to accept the article is made by the Editorial Team.
The final decision on accepting the manuscript for publication always rests with the Editorial Team. The reviewers do not make the decision but serve in a supporting role to assist the Editorial Team in deciding whether to accept the manuscript for publication.
